A life with music
I come from a family of musicians and began studying piano at the age of five. In my twenties, that early foundation grew into a deeper fascination with music theory and composition.
My music draws on Neo-Baroque and Neo-Romantic traditions. I am interested in how structure, harmony and melody can carry a story, while leaving room for an individual voice.
My studies in theory, composition and orchestration continue to shape how I write. Alongside that study, I have worked on original compositions, music for film scenes and trailers, and piano improvisation.
Music as a doorway into a story
I want my music to enrich the lives of those who listen—to offer a moment of imagination beyond the demands of everyday life. Music can entertain, but I believe its value reaches beyond what can be bought and sold.
AMDG Music is the home for that vision. My long-term ambition is to create stories in both words and sound: a book or short story with an original soundtrack, allowing the same world to be experienced through two different forms.
Learning should be open
My background in education and medical education research has strengthened my belief in teaching and learning. I want music education to be free and accessible, whatever a person's starting point.
The tools on this website are one practical expression of that intention: ways to develop a practice routine, explore compositional constraints and understand musical ideas through examples.
